Structural and Façade Evaluations for Attorneys: What They Are, What Should Be Included, What Are the Current Requirements and What is the Pending Legislation in New Jersey

The recent collapse of a concrete balcony on a condominium in Sea Isle, New Jersey has focused us all on the issue of building safety. In this crucially informative webinar, Kipcon founder, Mitch Frumkin, PE, RS, will explain what a structural and façade evaluation is, what it should include and why it is so important to have one done for your communities. This webinar will cover the various levels of assessments as well as show examples of these types of reports. It will also talk about what types of buildings need these types of evaluations and how to request and review a proposal. This session also includes an overview of the current bill pending in New Jersey as well as the ordinances in a number of towns which are currently in effect.

In addition, Mitch will discuss the New Jersey legislation and CAI National public policy on Reserve Study’s and Funding requirements.

About the Speaker

Kipcon’s founder Mitchell H. Frumkin, PE, RS recently cochaired CAI’s recent Public Policy Task Force dealing with Building Maintenance and Structural Integrity and is currently speaking at a number of national programs on the topic of Building Safety.

He previously Chaired the Task Force which developed  the National Reserve Study Standards of the Community Association Institute (CAI) as well as the Task Force which developed the Best Practices paper on Transition.
