Community Association Transition: Exploring The Process and Minimizing Risks

The purpose of the community association transition process is to provide a mechanism to turn over the community to the new homeowners as they move into the new community

Learn the various parts of the Transition process from evaluating the adequacy of the reserve study included within the disclosure documents to the evaluation of your community’s common elements for proper construction. We will also discuss putting plans in place for future reserve funding to monitoring the structural adequacy of your buildings. We will also touch on the new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac building safety disclosures which relate directly to the ability to receive mortgages.

About the Speaker

Kipcon’s founder Mitchell H. Frumkin, PE, RS recently cochaired CAI’s recent Public Policy Task Force dealing with Building Maintenance and Structural Integrity and is currently speaking at a number of national programs on the topic of Building Safety.

He previously Chaired the Task Force which developed the National Reserve Study Standards of the Community Association Institute (CAI) as well as the Task Force which developed the Best Practices paper on Transition.
